ORTHOPEDIC INJURIES / CLAIMS

DID YOU SUFFER A BACK INJURY WHILE PERFORMING YOUR DUTIES?

You may have had a work injury and you need a tenacious lawyer fighting for you.

ORTHOPEDIC INJURIES ARE ONE OF THE MOST FREQUENT TYPES OF INJURIES

Orthopedic injuries are one of the most frequent and sometimes the most visible of the types of injuries. Orthopedic refers to conditions of the bones and muscles. Therefore, any injury to bones,  muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints would be an orthopedic injury.

Specific Injury:

A specific orthopedic injury is usually the type of injury we equate with an "accident."  Therefore, just about any bone, muscle, tendon, ligament, or joint that could conceivably injured in any type of an incident would an orthopedic workers compensation injury.

Gradual Injuries:

Your orthopedic body parts create the frame of your body and play a significant role in any movements you make with your body. As you work doing repetitive tasks, heavy work, or rapid work as well as maintaining a fairly rigid position of any orthopedic part of your body, you may notice a gradual onset of aches and pains in the body parts you use most while working. Often, workers "grin and bear it" and try home remedies hoping their symptoms will improve. Sometimes the symptoms improve but frequently they do not because the worker continues to perform the same duties that caused the symptoms originally. The symptoms generally progress until the aches and pains interfere with both the worker's activities of daily living and their work duties. The worker may have taken a few days off and the worker may have gone to their private doctor before realizing that the workers may be dealing with a work injury.
